We were founded in 1991 by David Juarez. He began the business while attending Illinois State University after gaining previous experience in painting and management in the suburbs of Chicago. Since starting the business DJ's has expanded their services to include remodeling and project management due to customer demand. Today they boast a full service design and remodeling team with access to the area's best and most highly qualified carpenters, electricians, plumbers, audio-visual specialists and decorators.

It all began in 1991, when David Juarez founded D.J.’s Painting in Bloomington–Normal, Illinois, while attending Illinois State University. David drew upon prior painting and management experience from the Chicago suburbs to launch a painting business known for valuing individuals and environments and how they influence each other. Soon after, D.J.’s Painting expanded its services to include remodeling and project management services to meet growing customer requests.
